A: Bacon-fried corn is one of the easiest and most delicious side dishes you can make on a griddle. When our brand chef, Todd Toven, goes on tour each year, it is easily one of the most requested recipes by his fans!

Q: What are your griddles made of?

A: Our griddle tops are made of rolled steel. Rolled steel and cast iron share a similar need to be seasoned and used regularly to prevent rust. Both also have high thermal retention, which aids in getting a satisfying sear in addition to frying and sautéing.

The difference between cast iron and rolled steel can be found in how they are produced. Cast iron contains a higher carbon content and is manufactured by pouring liquid metal into a form, hence the name 'cast' iron.

Blackstone griddle tops are made from solid sheets of steel which are folded into our griddle plates. This makes them less brittle and smoother than cast iron.
